Biographical Notes:

Born in 1936, native of Guangdong .

He studied architecture in China; moved to Hong Kong in 1959. In addition to oil painting, graphic art and photography, he learned Chinese ink painting from Lu Shoukun until 1970. His works stress subtle contrast of colours and changes of hue. From 1976 to 1982, he was a member of the One Art Group. In 1982 he held his first open-man exhibition at the American Library. For nine consecutive years from 1972, his works have been selected for the Hong Kong Contemporary Biennial Art Exhibition. His works have been exhibited aboard and are in the collection of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Chase Manhattan Bank and the Citibank.

He is a member of the International Society of Plastic & Audio-Visual Art and a member of the Hong Kong Artist's Guild
