Biographical Notes:

born 1942 in Chongqing , Sichuan province, family originally from Yangzhou, Jiangsu province;

graduated from the Jiangsu Painting Academy in 1963;

currently holds several positions, including Master Painter in the Jiangsu Painting Academy, Professor at the Nanjing Art Institute, Nanjing Agricultural College, and Yangzhou University as well as Consultant to the Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum, Vice-chairman of the Jiangsu Aesthetics Association, Honorary Chairman of the Association for the Study of the Yangzhou School of Painting, Honorary Director of the Gong Xian Memorial Museum, and others.

between 1980 and 2003 has participated in 48 exhibitions within China, 2 in Japan, 2 in Korea, 1 in Singapore, 1 in Malaysia, 2 in Taiwan, 2 in Macao, 4 in Europe, and 8 in the United States.
