Biographical Notes:

born 1942

A native of Panyu, Guangdong, Jin moved to Hong Kong In 1957 and learned painting from his uncle Jin Weitian, Lu Shoukun and Wucius Wong. His excels In painting landscapes with distinct composition displaying the influence of graphic art He is the founder of the First Institute of Art and Design and the Chingying Institute of Visual Arts. He was elected one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong in 1979, granted the Urban Council Fine Arts Award in 1981 and named Designer of the Veal' of the Hong Kong Artists' Guild in 1991. He has been a part-time lecturer at the Design course of the Hong Kong Polytechnic and member of the Hong Kong Art Development Council. He is a renowned designer whose works have won more than a hundred awards. His paintings have been widely shown In Hong Kong and abroad and collected by various museums, art galleries, corporations and private collectors.
