Biographical Notes:

A native of Xinhui, Guangdong, Ouyang moved to Hong Kong at the age of seven. While his early works were mostly Western painting, his recent creations are mainly watercolours and Chinese ink paintings. In the 1950s, his works were selected to be shown in the South China Art Exhiibition held in Guangzhou and the National Youth Art Exhibition held in Beijing, and awards were given. After joining the Geng Zi Painting Society, he painted a lot of the famous landscapes. Recently, Hong Kong landscapes often appear in his works and a number of exhibitions dedicated to these paintings have been shown. He has, for many years, been working as an art editor in a publisher. he also taught at the Hong Kong Art Institute of Visual Arts. At present he is giving lectures on painting and calligraphy. His works are collected by the Hong Kong Museum of Art, China Art Gallery, public institutions and private collections. A number of painting albums have been published.
